is here for our community. It is run and funded entirely by the people
and organizations of our community. COHO has, from the beginning, been
an energized and thoughtful group of caring individuals who have experienced
first-hand the need for COHO’s mission in our community.
It is an exciting time to support COHO and there are many ways to do it. Come be a part of it!
Volunteer
- Do you like to get things organized? We are looking for more volunteers to help prepare for our conference and class series offered in May.
- Are you a people person and like to invite people? We need your help! Spread the word about our upcoming conferences. Share your enthusiasm for this movement by sharing our web site on Facebook and twitter or even by old fashioned email.
- Do you have experience writing web content? We need help keeping the information on our website up to date.
Bring COHO speakers to your organization
Would your organization like to learn more about COHO and end of life care? We can provide local experts in this field who will present information end of life care and offer guidance on how to have a conversation with loved ones about these important issues.
COHO Speaker’s Bureau Lecture Topics
- COHO Vision and Mission—to educate and raise awareness about end of life care (10-20 minutes)
- Consider the Conversation—film followed by discussion and/or panel (1 to 1.5 hours)
- Opening the Tool Box—Advance Directives and POLSTs, how and when to use them (1 hour)
- How to Begin the Conversation (30 to 60 minutes)
- Go Wish Workshop: Deciding End-of-Life Options—Advance care planning introduction and interactive workshop using the “Go Wish Game” to give participants an easy, entertaining way to think and talk about what's important if seriously ill. (1 hour plus)
